Festivities of La Virgen de Las Nieves and Carmen

The festivities in honor of Nuestra Señora de Las Nieves y la Virgen del Carmen en La Dama will be held from August 1st to 4th in La Gomera. The event will include tournaments of envite, dominoes, and bingo in the town square, where locals can enjoy friendly competitions and socialize. The religious celebration will feature a mass in honor of the Virgen del Carmen and another in honor of Our Lady of the Snows, held in traditional locations and accompanied by chácaras, drums, and the moving rendition of "Ave María." Additionally, there will be a touch of humor with the participation of the Comadre de Chipude, a spectacular fireworks display to amaze attendees, children's games for the little ones, and a lively end-of-festival dance to close the celebrations with joy.
