Pescante de Agulo

La Gomera

Built in 1908, the loading pier (pescante) was an industrial engineering structure designed for the transport of fruit and people. Supported by two concrete pillars, a wooden and metal arm extended out to connect with ships anchored off the coast of Agulo. A powerful storm surge destroyed the structure in the 1950s, leaving only the two concrete piers as evidence of its former presence.

Try to be careful with your rucksack or bag and make sure you do not hit anything when you move.
Try to be silent or speak quietly so that you do not bother other visitors.
