Book Day

La Gomera celebrates World Book Day with a cultural and literary program that transforms the island into a meeting space for reading, art, and education. Organized by the Island Council, the initiative includes storytelling sessions, theater, book presentations, lectures, exhibitions, contests, and activities in schools. Through events such as the 'Ruiz de Padrón' Flash Fiction Contest and the Island Book Fair, the program aims to encourage reading habits from an early age and make literature accessible to all audiences.
