Despite its size, La Gomera is a destination loaded with a wide variety of tourist attractions, a must on the “must-see” list of anyone visiting the island. From sea to summit you will find incredible places to connect with nature and enjoy your visit.

Made up of the Rocks of Agando, Ojila, La Zarcita and Carmona, this natural monument is located in the central part of the island, at the foot of Garajonay National Park. They are the result of the passage of time and the power of erosion on the ancient volcanic chimneys of the island. Los Roques are located next to the GM-2 road and are surrounded by a group of lookout points from which it is easy to admire them.

Located on the summits of the Gomeran municipality of Agulo, this is the only floating lookout on the island, located more than 600 meters above sea level. Through its glass floor you can see at your feet the village of Agulo and in the background the majestic figure of Mount Teide.

The Great Lagoon is a place that attracts attention for its charm. It is a recreational area located in the middle of the National Park, the protagonist of many of the great legends about witches in Gomera. Surrounded by the laurel forest, it is the perfect place to spend a day with the family and to taste the typical dishes of the island in its well-known restaurant.

At 1,478 meters above sea level we find the Alto de Garajonay, the highest point of the island and therefore the highest point of La Gomera. From its lookout, which is accessed through several low-difficulty trails, you can admire the island from above and even some of the neighboring islands.

In the municipality of Vallehermoso are Los Chorros de Epina, seven heather wood jets through which spring water never stops flowing. In addition, one of the legends surrounding this place says that whoever drinks from its waters will be happy in love and will have good fortune.

Within the municipality of Agulo and located in the area of La Palmita is the Juego de Bolas Visitor Center. Here you will find detailed information about Garajonay National Park as well as enjoy its gardens. Its ethnographic museum and its various exhibitions on the attractions of Gomera.

Located in the town of Chipude, this volcanic massif rises into the sky, giving visitors incredible views that you cannot fail to photograph.

During the last decades several archaeological excavations have been carried out in which it has been found that, for the ancient Gomeros, the Fortress was a sacred place of worship. 

Today, Chipude Fortress is a Protected Natural Area and its summit can be accessed through a trail.

Los Órganos is a natural formation, 200 meters wide, 80 meters high and of volcanic origin, whose name is inspired by the great resemblance of its columns to the pipes of the musical instrument known as an organ.

Although this wonder of nature is located on the coast of the municipality of Vallehermoso, most of the tourist excursions depart from the port of Vueltas in Valle Gran Rey, since it is only possible to visit it by sea.

Built by Hernán Peraza el Viejo in 1450, in San Sebastián de La Gomera we find the Torre del Conde. An ancient fortress that served the island’s conquerors to defend themselves from the Gomeran aborigines and pirate attacks. It is the only medieval tower still preserved in the archipelago.

El Pescante, also known as El Peñón, is located in the municipality of Hermigua. Although today it has become an area of natural pools of crystal clear waters, in past decades this place was an old pier of which today only its four pillars remain standing, responsible for decorating the incredible scenery.
