Festivities of El Carmen y Santiago Apóstol

Playa de Santiago, in the Gomero municipality of Alajeró, celebrates its festivities in honor of Nuestra Señora del Carmen and Saint James the Apostle, patrons of this coastal town, during the month of July. These celebrations combine religious and cultural events, with highlights including the traditional maritime procession of Our Lady of Carmen, where her image is carried by boat along the coast, as well as the solemn mass and procession in honor of Saint James the Apostle. Additionally, the program features recreational and leisure activities that attract both residents and visitors, creating a festive atmosphere in the community.
